About the Author

Greetings my little peanut-fiends!

I am RJ, a twenty (or so) year old woman who has had a peanut allergy her whole life. I have known I have had a peanut allergy after an incident with a peanut when I was 5 years old. I suffer from a severe peanut allergy, which causes me to go into Anaphylaxis if I come into contact with nuts, unfortunately this means it can be airborne too. I am still adapting to life with a peanut allergy, you will never stop learning and adapting to your surroundings with allergies. I hope my blog is able to bring people more insight to life with allergies, help people dealing with allergies or give an insight to loved ones dealing with allergies.

 So you may be wondering...

Why start a blog?
  • It started out on a facebook page dedicated to people with allergies, and I had decided to leave a comment on a post someone had made and I was talking about my life with the allergy. Someone suggested to make a log for people to relate to and for parents to understand how their children feel, as I have been through it all. So I guess the question is, why not?
How is your blog different?
  • I believe there can never be enough perspectives on such a topic. This gives you the option to consider every different angle if you are in need of advice. If this blog doesn't suit you, there are many more blogs out there that may have what you are looking for.
I want to know more!
  • I have a Q&A, so that I can answer questions that you would like to know. You may ask personal questions, as this blog is anonymous. I feel like I have expanded my 'About me' section enough for now.

The purpose of this blog is entirely educational and is a personal documentation of my views and experiences. Any advice given by me, is taken at the reader's own risk. Please do your research before you do anything rash!
